Edgy did it, and so can I ...

I have never posted a meme on my blog before, although I have participated, nor have I tagged anyone. And that is all about to change. I hope you'll play. This one looks like fun.

How to Play
  1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember.
  2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll check your blog to see if you are playing, too. If you are I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

  1. So I think my favorite memory would be from that first time we met at the Foblog party last summer. You know the one . . .

That's right. I'm talking about you and me connected at the hip running and jumping on that silly Wii game.

  2. I remember standing outside of Brozy and Bawb's house after said blog party, talking for hours and hours when we all were supposed to--and intended to--go home and go to bed.

  3. Well, I probably won't play by putting this on my blog (just not in the mood, I suppose). But, I will say that my memory of you and me is that you, as queen of the queerosphere, bestowed upon me the pseudonym "Abelard". You also bestowed "Heloise" on my wife - but that pseudonym never stuck like Abelard did. See here for a reminder.

  4. My only memory of you in person is you plopping down (and startling me to death) and hugging me. But it was fun to have you and Darrin there at Marko's blessing--it would've been great if we could've visited some more, but *alas* you had other pressing social calendar engagements. ;)

  5. my favorite memory of you has to be your obscure fascination with the plastic red fish that had you going for a good hour at my house the night before you startled kengo to death. and then i gave you the fish after you startled kengo to death :D

    good times...

  8. So--for those of you who are blogless, or not of a mind to spread the meme, this is for you:

Abelard: I loved the fact that you allowed the Queerosphere to help you find a name. And AtP and I spent at least an hour thinking of possible famous couples' names. And you were an incredibly good sport when you found out story of the 'nym we suggested. I hope you always remember, we love laughing at all situations--and the fact that you have a sense of humor will forever endear you to me.

Salad: Jumping on the trampoline at the Matis home--and looking like we were River Dance rejects because we were trying to keep our skirts from flying up. That's my memory of you, and we should definitely do it again sometime (not in skirts).

Uncle Arthur: Playing Scramble non-stop for more than a month. I miss that! I hope you are well.

Jay: You sent me virtual flowers in my email when I was feeling sad. It made my day. I know I said thank you--but I'll say it again--thanks!

  9. Lunch with you and AtP on his birthday - Fantastic.

The two of you laughing together unceasingly - hilarious.

You helping me with a personal family issue - priceless.

  10. Most of what I remember about you from real life is from Evergreen Conferences two years in a row, though both of them have meshed together in my mind over time.

I remember that one of my initial observations of you at the was that you were extremely irreverent. You kept passing sticky note messages to AtP during one of the classes we all went to and both of you laughed kinda loud. (though naturally Atp was louder) You sobered up sometimes like at dinner when we went to some restaurant. Late the next night(?) we played a bunch of games in a little room in the nearby church and that was fun. On the night we didn't go to the restaurant, Robbie made various Evergreen participation awards for all of us. Your husband was recognized as "Most surprisingly not a struggler."

The second year of conference I remember you giving a very heartfelt and stirring talk/testimony at the closing fireside. I was sitting by your husband and son and I told them both that you did a very good job.

  11. I don't have a blog and I can't say I know you well....I like having you as a blog friend. You seem to be a kind caring person and I love how you enjoy the beautiful things in this world and your quirky sense of humor. I just enjoy visiting. Thank you for letting me. :)
