You're all lazy

I'm not kidding. You read this on your Google Reader, or on Bloglines and you never visit anymore. I'm starting to feel sorry for myself because I serve the purpose of a television set--you read but don't connect--

And don't tell me you have nothing to say!! I've met many of you--you talk incessantly.

And it doesn't matter if what you say has anything to do with my post, either. Just come say hello.

Come on...you can do it...you know you miss me...click the link...just come say hi...

And I promise I'll talk back if you do. It's time for some quality etime, some genuine virtual dialogue, some textual visibility.

P.S. If you comment regularly like JB, Ambrosia, AJ, and others who talk to me, this is not aimed at you--but I still want you to say hi. :)

  1. I'm afraid if I comment too much you'll think I'm stalking you! Anyway, HI! >^..^< -a.j.

  2. Hey, that's not true!

    I never talk in person!

  3. I'm just guessing here, but I'd say you'll be getting 30+ comments on this thread now.

    I love google reader . . .

  4. Ahem, Ms. Pot. The last time you commented on my blog was May 14th.

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Kettle

    Hi Becca!

AJ: I could never accuse you of that, especially because apparently I have been called the Ultimate Blogstalker Of All Time (and I don't believe it was a compliment). I love your visits. :)

Bawb: Once I heard you talk...

Potentate: My guess--between 7 and 10. Not everyone likes me enough to say hi...sigh...

Edgy: Did I not mention you among my "regular" commentors? How remiss of me.

Mr. Kettle: Guilty as charged. But I think about commenting, and I know you're getting those subliminal messages. And besides, as a figment of Tokien Boy's imagination, it takes such effort to comment--he doesn't always endow me with witty repartee.

  6. I've been depressed over my falling stats lately too, and then I realized that I don't comment much on other people's blogs anymore either. Google reader is a blessing and a curse.

  7. I have come to say "Hi."

    So, "Hi."

  8. Hurrah! For once in my life, I'm not lazy! (I read this the good, old-fashioned way. I still don't use Google Reader.)

  9. I read pretty regularly on my blackberry. But you don't want me to comment too much. I'm extraordinarily dull, and I'm prone to prolix (what do you expect from somebody who is both an engineer AND a lawyer).

  10. Hi this is Erin from the V. group. I read your blog often but I can't remember if I've ever posted. Anyway, as requested, here is a comment: I enjoy your blog an awful lot, and really like the comments from/links to people who seem to know you.

  13. FoxyJ: Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

    Sir Ken: Hi!

Ambrosia: Thanks for being a nonconformist (but if you joined facebook we could PLAY!!!).

Sweetisthepeace: Um...you're talking to a registered financial advisor...and tax preparer...I definitely want to hear what you say.

Erin: Yay! Good to hear from you.

Lis: Glad you like it--I do, too. And Hi to you, as well.

Marmoreal: No doubt, the grief will continue. :) Thanks for saying hi.

  15. See, look at all the love. We're not lazy, just busy. Keep up the wonderful posts. You won't lose anything. Your passion for life will remain and we'll be enriched.

  16. Woah! They all came out of the woodworks! Sweet. It's much less lonely on here now. :) I knew you didn't mean me when you posted this. . . I ALWAYS have something to say. . . even when I don't have anything to say. . . . lol. Please do let me know if it gets annoying though, I promise to stop if it does!

P.S. I read your blog on Google Reader and then come here to comment on it.

P.P.S. Have you ever read "It's Not Easy Being Green. And Other Things to Consider?" I really like it's positive outlook on life and nature and such. I think you'd like it, too.

  17. I am stalking you. I'm writing this from outside your bedroom window.

  18. Jay: I don't want to tell you, because then you'll just read my posts there (or delete them) and stop visiting. But basically, you can subscribe to all your favorite blogs (and other sites) and google puts all the new posts on one page for you. But--you won't get to see my quote-of-the-whatever if you never visit. :)

Tim: Thanks for your visits and your comments. I love hearing from you.

JB: Nope--you're definitely not a lazy blog reader. I enjoy your comments and I'll look into the book. Thanks for the suggestion.

Jason: Pfft...I'm not afraid to say it... I love you...take THAT!! (seriously--still recovering from our 3:30 a.m. phone call--do you never sleep at night?)

David: We'd have so much more fun if you'd just come inside and play. I'm guessing the mosquitoes aren't making your stalking experience very pleasant.
p.s. Please don't tell anyone that I have Ghetto back yard because I haven't mowed my lawn all summer and it's about 5 feet tall.
